bendix CT-3 and hawks HPS

2 questions...

I own a 2005 G35 AWD sedan, non brembo brakes. I do a lot of spirited driving but never track. Normally i run with the HPS line but generally a little costly at $60-75 for a set. People here seem to have a high thing for bendix Ct-3 line.

1. Would you guys say bendix Ct-3 line is equal to or better then the hawks HPS line? I've heard a lot of people say cold stoping the HPS sucks at. Sometimes i see it but not always. I did hps in the back already but now i need some fronts, those bendix are $45 VS $65 for HPS. Are there any others to consider? i've tried a set of metalmasters before, they were fine but worn out in 20k in my old car and the first 2k miles it was squeeky...

2. Looking up parts, BENDIX Part # D815CT is what i see under my car. Now is this a CT-3 line? i'm assuming yes, mainly because bendix has CQ ceramic line, CT-3 line a titaniumetallic and a fleet metlok line. THere is not just a CT line so i assume the ending means CT-3 line, there is a D815IQ, the D815 alone is the CQ line as stated on rockauto.

i'm having a parts number issue...

i have a 05 AWD. the 05 RWD and AWD brakes are different. the 03-04 RWD and 04-05 AWD are all the same. D815ct listing only shows under 03 RWD non brembo. All of the other years show only front brembos options...

If you switch types and go to a ceramic pad, you will love the lack of dust.
In anyone's line, different compositions brake differently.
Hawk HPS are good street pads, but are dirty.

^ not sure what you mean by switch type, but i guess you mean going from OEM, whatever it is most likely semi-met, to ceramic in the front.

the 1st gen non-brembo g35's have a huge issue with warp rotors and brake dust in terms of OEM stuff. Most people run HPS just due to the lack of dusting but its all in that design, the 05-06 went with bigger rotors and 2 pistons.

I think i'll roll with bendix, for my next set. How is this warranty? How is it used? I'm going to be buying from amazon or rockauto.

The dealer pads work very well for G35s, better than most aftermarket pads. I would stick with the dealer pad for this application.

CT+3 in my wife's M35 they work extremely well with very little dust and no noise.
