Bench grinders...any made in the US?

I'm looking at buying a bench grinder in the near future, but I've noticed that all that I've seen in stores are made in China. I don't care if it is 6" or 8", but I'd like to find a bench grinder that is made in the US if possible. Variable speed would be a plus as well. Anyone have any leads?

Baldor would be about your last option, and they've probably moved production oversees by now. You might check with them anyway.

If you're willing to pay, you could probably find one made by Baldor made in the states. Expect to pay 10x as much as a chinese one.

May have call and see if the bench grinder you are looking at is made in USA. The 600E caught my eye.

I checked out the Baldor's and they look very well made. Not sure if they have a model that is everything I'm looking for as their variable speed models are either high/high or low/low speed. Thanks for the leads.
