In looking for filter options for my 07 VW V10 TDI Touareg I've found that beck arnley makes one.

Has anyone ever used them or have any information on them?

It's a cartridge style filter if it matters..

Thanks

RockAuto only lists the Beck Arnley ($5.15) and they usually list a bunch. Amsoil does not make a filter either.

Beck Arnley has a pretty good name in my book for quality parts.

Wow this engine takes twelve (12) quarts of oil!! More oil than ATF or coolant.

Oil changes will not be cheap for this baby.

Beck Arnley uses a lot of the same manufactures that the OEM's source, so yes when they are priced right they are a good product. When I say priced right, sometimes for my vehicles the OEM parts are actually cheaper...not always though.

So I say yes, good buy.

Judging by the picture shown on the Beck/Arnley web page, this filter is going to be a Chinese sourced product. It is definitely not a Mann-Hummel, Mahle/Knecht, or Hengst.

For the price savings I think I'd buy a couple and give them a try. You can get two of those for the price of one Mann or Mahle filter.

The Ford/Navistar 6.0 PSD takes 15 quarts of oil

My buddy's old Accord takes 3.75 quarts... The PSD takes 3.75 GALLONS!

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

For the price I may just change the filters every 5k miles instead of every 10k miles.
