Here are a couple of shots from a new house a couple blocks away. It's a mixture of year round homes and summer cabins so it works. Enjoy.

Cute idea...a little chunky...some of the tenon work is excessive (too long).
While it "looks good" (just politeness, not political correctness) it looks amateurish.
Is that an intentional air gap between the rock column and carved tree base?
 
Bet the air gap is to prevent the vertical trunks from sucking up water at the base from the top of the rock column.
 
Looks interesting to me, reminds me of vacation lodges. But most women I know would hate this instantly on a primary home, and therefore it's probably a negative hit on property value. Maybe even on neighboring properties.
 
Would have looked better if they had routered in "Welcome" in the horizontal cross member above the entrance.
