Do the math, 75+5+1.5+1+1 does not equal 100. So what else is in there past the 83.5% currently accounted for???

25-75% naphtha? Crazy, it's worse than Zee09's new car thread.

Stopped at WM at lunchtime to pick up a prescription and took a peek at the gas additives there.
Nothing about PEA on the Techron fuel system cleaner bottle or the card wrapped around the neck...I need to look at the bottle that's been sitting in my garage for a while and see what it says.
I really wonder if Chevron changed the product or just the advertising, perhaps with so many other products promoting their use of PEA they didn't see it as a differentiating feature. Maybe they are using something different and maybe better than PEA?
Probably impossible to say without some inside info, but I'm going with Regane products for the time being.

I have a perception that Chevron lowered the amount of PEA and that it is not as effective as it once was. I feel this is especially true for the cheaper version of Techron. I base this on the steady use of Techron in my Explorer which required substantial dealer cleaning when the secondary throttle body failed and they opened it up for replacement. Gumout has been used since and recently the dealer performed some work and the throttle body was squeaky clean as was the reminder of the fuel system.

I will concede this is not a scientific or controlled test, but it caused me to lean towards Gumout.

That SDS shows 5-15% PEA...could be really good stuff, but I think I'll stick with one of the Regane products that shows 10-30% (although the sheets I found online seem to be from 2016, getting old). Also don't think I see 3M at WM, it's just so easy for me to buy oil and other stuff for my car there.

I looked at the Techron that has been in my garage for a while, nothing about PEA on the bottle or card wrapped around the neck. Still might be in there or maybe they use something even better, but I'm not buying any more as things stand. Dumped it in my car, anyway.

Going to double dose with the 3M since I have about 1k -2k to go on Delvac 1 ...
assuming there is lots of TBN left in that oil ...

Earlier this year when I wanted to clean the fuel system in my Civic I bought both the Techron Concentrate Plus and Gumout Regane All in One. I think they are probably both great products but maybe one of them cleans certain areas better than the other, so why not reap the benefits of both? (I did each treatment separately, not at the same time)
