Well, I finally got around to adding distilled water to my Auto-Zone premium battery( the yellow one ,Dura-Last")which I purchased about a year ago. The water level was way low as can be expected, and the cells took a lot of water. One bad thing about the Duralast is that the cells are in a recessed area, and so when you take off the two covers for the cells, there is a lot of gunk entrapped in there , but i sould not have let it go this long without maintence anyway, especially in the South Texas heat. One tip i would like to give you is to get a good quality steel turkey baster with the big gauge needle like end. Then just stick the baster into the gallon conatiner of distilled water and then fill the cells wiht the baster. I had vitually no problems with spills. Henceforth i resolve to be more faithful in my periodic maiuntence of my battery; after all, this thing wasnt cheap-70.00plus tax.
