I find basketball boring. I have a suggestion to pep it up. Say the average pro player is 6.5 feet tall and there are 5 on a team. That makes 32.5 feet of players. I say, do away with the 5 player rule and allow 32.5 feet of players on each team. First, it would be good for employment, since teams might opt of a mixture of midgets and tall people. Could be seven or eight players on a team. Coaches would be forced to develop all new strategies. I say: Go for it!!!!

Co-opting your idea a little bit. Some of the summer Olympic sports make me feel equally indifferent. I propose that each country select their best athletes as they do now. When they get to the games assign them at random by a computer program to a sport. For example, Track & Field events might have a few weightlifters. Basketball might acquire a few volleyball players. Water polo might draft a soccer player.

If the purpose of the Olympics is to showcase athletic skill, endurance, camaraderie, national pride and sportsmanship, there you are.

Deportes puros.
