I agree. It'll get you a few more thousand miles out of it. Worked a few times for me.

So the consensus is to put Lucas in it? A different kind of fluid wouldn't be better? I was planning on changing the fluid anyways and I've never been a fan of additives, I don't run them in my engine and not sure about in my transmission.

I rec. that you use Lube Gard/Lube Guard. Check to see whether you need the red or the black bottle. You should change the fluid and then add the bottle. Make sure you don't over fill.

I don't like motor additives either. But I have used the lucas transmission goo with pretty good success.

Just an update, I have not added any additives yet, and drove the car from Ontario Canada to Carlisle PA and back plus all my normal long distance driving and go figure, I haven't had another transmission problem since.
