I am going to try a baldwin on my pick up next go around but I cant seem to find them. Where are you guys getting them. This is the first time that amazon didnt have the filter i wanted. I will be glad to go back to a 4.5" filter but wonder if running w/o a bypass would pose a problem in a light duty pu. I will give it a go but please state your opinion on using filters with no bypass.

If this is for anything except your Corvette, then you don't have much of a choice. Hopefully you haven't defeated your in block bypass. If so, restore it, or buy the sieves (Fram HP or WIX R lines).

And something for you:

Balwin efficiency ratings for two filters I use.
Respectable numbers, especially the B243:

I buy Baldwin from a local semi truck service center. Look up your part number and call around. Baldwin is competitively priced against low cost brands.

I can't. I no longer have access to a commercial company account.
...My money is no good there.

I think running a no bypass filter on a no bypass engine is chancy. Few GM products need them, but otherwise better have one. Filters aren't important enough to take such a chance. Buy what you can find cheap as long as it is American.

Would have but I still got to do paperwork. Not worth it when I can go to another place not much further away.
