Couple years back I was working on a Ford Explorer and noted a really nice transfer case breather. It had a semi permeable membrane and looked very resistant to water ingress. Looking up the part it only comes as the entire vent tube assembly for over $30 but I haven't been able to find the little breather piece separately. ANybody seen one like this? Is there some specific name for it that I could search through auto and industrial supply sources?
