Average lowest A/C temp?

On my Cadillac DTS, I get between 40-44F with the probe thermometer

On my recently serviced Camaro (New Compressor/Full charge), the lowest I get is 44F

Though when I used the IR laser gun thermometer on the Camaro, the temp showed 35-37. I’m guessing the compressor engages until the evaporator reaches below 32F, then starts again

It's typically xx degrees below the outside temp. And needs to be measured with kind of a meat thermometer that sticks a probe a few inches into the air vent.

Currently, my Burb is 45 F below ambient with the probe thermometer in the center dash vent ( 95-50 F).

No but that's a good idea, I'll ask next time

Just have them evacuate it all out,vacuum,add oil and charge to spec with a scale. Im not happy unless my customers ac is in the 40's.

@Chris142 when you use a recovery machine and evacuate a system to your tank, how do you remove air contamination from the refrigerant?

The machine does an automatic air purge. it somehow seperates the refrigerant from air

if I want it any colder I should consider a new compressor since they get less efficient with age....

Did you at least clean the condenser fins?
Consider the possibility that it's working fine, but the hot/cold actuator isn't sealing as good as it used to.
