Auto tranny cooler question

Hi, I'm new to the board but have been reading posts for weeks now, been getting AWESOME stuff from you all.

After reading through some of the posts on this subject, I was wondering if I might experience any starving of the transmission fluid, or low pressure because of this setup, or anything of the sort?

I drive a 98 Honda accord 4 cyl and have recently installed a fluidyne multiflow cooler with a b&m remote transmission filter kit. You can see the remote filter pretty plainly here in this pic, and the cooler is on the left of the pic right behind the bumper

I really liked the idea of the remote filter due to the lack of a stock unit and I have not experienced any problems after driving on this setup for a little over 700 miles so far, but I want to just make sure that I won't be seeing any later on and don't want my imagination to run away with me.

I have the fluid going through the radiator first, then to the filter and then the cooler and am using redline ATF. The fittings on the cooler are 11/32 and were exactly the same fittings as were on the original points coming from the return line on the radiator. The cooler is a 6 pass with 14x6.5x1 dimensions.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

Have you considered getting a ATF Inline Thermostatic ATF valve from Jegs?

The other thing:

I would consider installing the ATF Cooler BEFORE the factory ATF-Radiator cooler.

The reason being is that on colder days this will keep the ATF from "over" cooling.

The premise is that on colder days or days when your transmission is staying in temp range...having the factory cooler LAST will re-warm the ATF to water temperature...keeping a good system temp balance.

I am of the camp that thinks ATF coolers should be before the radiator cooler

I was not able to find the thermostatic valve you were talking about. Is it some kind of bypass valve that would only send fluid to the cooler if i needed it?

And I can definitely see the point you make about putting the cooler before the radiator since there is an ideal temp range you want the oil at...
I hate to think that I'll have to pull all the hose down and redo it though... but the more I think about it, the better it looks to have it before.
Maybe I can leave the filter in the return line as it is and just route some new hose from the inlet to the cooler and back through the radiator

Is there anyone who may be able to give me some good points as to why I should leave the setup as it is?
