Decided to go to local DMV here in VA this morning. Was told it was ok if they got the VA state sales tax at the Fl Dealership. BUT>>>to make sure I got some kind of paper with a gold seal on it verifying I paid such and such amount to the FL dealership for my VA taxes. She said I had to get that affidavit as it assures VA DMV that the FL dealer is gonna transfer the money from his dealership to the VA DMV. She said some dealerships "require" it be done that way and that it wasn't a scam. I feel ok now.
