1993 eurovan 260,000 KM
Has been mixing oil and water for a year or 2. The problem was fixed several months ago. Engine has been on diet of no name conventional oil since day one. This is a very dirty engine. I had to take spoon-full of white waxy stuff from under the oil cap.
ARX was poured in for 1500 miles then oil was drained. Oil looked same color as before nothing different was observed. I cut open the filter and it looked like a brand new filter.
New conventional oil was poured in and so far I have put on 2100 KM on the oil. The oil color is still the same.
Dipstick is still dirty.
In about 2 weeks I will change the oil and start the second application. The way I see it ARX is not doing a major cleaning job! the oil is clean and filter is clean! I dont think there is any point to change the filter for start of second aplication. Eurovan has a huge filter (1.5 qt) to fill it up. I think I will drain the oil and empty the oil filter for the second application.
If I dont see some sign of cleaning after 2nd application then I will use a over the counter 5 min engine flush.
