Must be due to the fact that the website just moved to a different server - yesterday I think. Give it a day or two for them to get it all sorted out.

You're new... havent been around to see the old threads, and likely many of the pics arent posted anymore. There have been many pics of head shots before and after, oil filters with gunk in them, etc.

Do a search (you have to tweak the settings, but if youre slightly inteligent and computer literate, you can do it with a bit of hassle), and youll find some - sometimes pics stay hosted for years...

Also beware that many users, including me, saw no difference under the valve cover after the ARx prescription, and noticed no change. I guess it depends on the condition of the engine, and many variables. In my case it was used on two different high mileage Honda engines. I've spent my $90 BITOG induced indulgence on ARx, read my BITOG readings, and now believe that these engines are not getting better than they already are (and were) with today's conventional engine oils. Next time I feel a BITOG indulgence urge it'd best be given to the BITOG board itself.

As Gary Allan, one of my favorite members, would write: YMMV

Pity you didn't do a compression test. Seat of the pants and looking under the valve cover (splash fed only) means zip, zero, nada. The pressure fed areas get the 'real deal'. This has been posted so many times it's exasperating. Getting very tired of noobs and "it's still brown under the valve cover" I duuno, maybe it's just me?

I don't have a before photo, but I took an early rinse photo. I'll see if I can get a link to it working.

The before photo, if I'd taken it, would have shown the same view but with everything but the cam lobe a warm, brown varnish color. The camshaft looked like it was made out of a dark wood. You can see some of the brown still on the cam shaft. I'm 400 miles into the rinse, using 5w-20 MC in my '99 V10.

I can only say that I'm amazed and astounded that this much cleaning has been done.

After thinking about it a while, I liken the before color to a newly-seasoned cast iron skillet, done twice at least.

The more I look at the after, the more amazed I am.
