Because I did not drive it for almost 3 years and even now I do not drive it a lot. So the oil and clean phase with Auto-Rx will take 4+ years. Should I be concerned. This is a 93 Suburban with a 5.7L.

The real question is "How did it get sludged?"
If it isnt THAT dirty then I would just run a Synthetic and do 1 year Drains. If it is a little dirty, Dino and 6 month drains.
I imagine that if you stick with a decent OCI based on time you should see an improvement.
Auto RX takes lots of time and heat to do it's job. I'd hate for you to spend serious cash on it and you not see results.

Actually I doubt its sludged. They put in a rebuilt engine and transmission at about 115,000 and its got maybe 170,000 now. Before I started the Auto-Rx cleaning a few years ago I only used synthetic like I do in all my cars.
If you feel like you want to use the Arx then I would just run the 4oz maintenance dose.

55,000 on this engine? And correct me if I'm wrong but I get the impression that you've changed the oil on decent intervals? There aint a bit of sludge in there. And if you have neglected it some, if you've changed the oil but 3 or 4 times its nothing that can't be corrected by a few shortened OCI's with good quality oil alone. More details would help confirm my theory, but it sounds like you don't need to put anything in that crankcase but good quality oil to have a spotless clean long lasting engine.

yeah Id do maintenance intervals if anything and call it a day. No need to worry, that is a long-life engine in there if you treat it right.
