Auto RX in Transmission??

I recently purchased a 91 shadow 2.5 turbo auto as a project. It had a blown timing belt. We replaced it this weekend and drove it. The trans doesn't shift that great. We want to change the fluid for sure, but I thought about using some auto rx. I have some from my Dakota that I used it on. Is it the same stuff as the engine?? The website doesn't really specifically say. I don't want to order transmission cleaner and find out it's the same stuff I have. Thanks

Yes, the transmission cleaner and the engine cleaner are one and the same.

Let us know how it goes. The motors in most modern cars will outlast the auto transmissions by a long shot. Anything that will prolong the life of the transmission has to be a good thing.

My auto rx treatments would be 1) auto trans then 2) motor.
