Hello BITOGers,
Just was curious if anybody else here has tried Auto-Rx in a Subaru turbo engine. I just did the oil change this morning on my 2002 WRX - 2.0 liter turbo. Engine has about 82,200 miles and I used 5W-30 Pennzoil conventional (yellow bottle). I saw the deal at Pep Boys for 5 quarts and a Purlator filter for $7.99 after rebate. Since the standard Auto-Rx application now calls for a 2,500 mile run in the cleaning phase, I figured I couldn't go wrong. I'll save my stash of high priced synthetic until I'm done with the Auto-RX clean/rinse phases.
I'm looking forward to see what may come out of the engine with the Auto-Rx.
Ed B.
P.S.
I also captured some of the old oil to run a UOA. I was using Mobil 1 5W-30 and the oil had about 4,000 miles at the time of the change. I'll post results once I get the UOA results.
