The vehicle in question is a 1995 Honda Civic EX. 1.6 L SOHC VTEC, automatic transmission, 189,000 miles.
This is my brand-new used vehicle. A couple of days ago I received a shipment from Auto-Rx with 2 bottles of the cleaner. One bottle is already in the crankcase.
I am not sure whether I should use the second bottle in the transmission. The reason I am hesitating is because this transmission does not have a serviceable filter (there is, however, an "internal" filter). In this situation, would the contaminants removed by Auto-Rx be deposited in the "internal" filter, or would I be able to flush them out with several fluid changes? I am wondering whether Auto-Rx is even appropriate in this type of application.
I also received a shipment from LCD, with a bottle of FP Plus and LC 20 last week. Am I better off just using LC 20 in this transmission?
Thank you in advance for your help.
