I own a '99 Nissan Maxima. I am currectly 1k on my 1st cleaning phase of AUTO-RX. I was driving down the highway today and the "service engine soon" light came on. Can Auto-RX be the cause of this light?
Two completely different systems... unless your engine was in such poor condition previously that auto-rx cleaned something up an caused a massive oil burn, killing your cat or doing something else screwey, then all is well in the lubrication world. And if such a thing did happen, then your engine was a goner long before auto-rx.
Most national auto parts places read them for free now. NAPA/Auto Zone/Advanced etc. Get your code read. Check your coolant level/oil level/make sure your gas cap is on tight. Get your code read.
My "service engine soon" Light is the "check engine" Light. I will get the code read, check the gas cap, check my coolant level, and check my oil level today. I will get back to you all with the results.
