Having a few probs with the power steering lately on my 2000 Ford Excursion...77,000 miles. I figured I'd do a flush and fill and see how much that helps. The question is whether Auto-Rx is safe for regular P/S systems. I know some use an ATF fluid but I don't really know about systems that use "power steering" fluid.

Any experience out there?

Thanks!
Mikie

i did it just recently following franks directions. it made a whopping difference...before my turning was ok..but now its soo smooth...and the fluid is clean.

my car is a 1991 accord with 170k...the fluid never really had gotten changed....yet auto rx cleaned it out and really made it better

my experiance =)

Auto-RX did smooth out my power steering, but it didn't stop the leak...
I know Hondas are picky about their P/S fluid, and after 1500 miles I haven't seen any new problems with my Honda, I think it's safe to use it in your car. What "problems" are you having?

Thanks for the info. The only probs I'm having is that it tends to stick once in a while and is making a slight groaning occasionally. Supposedly the sticking is a trait with the superduty chassis but this only started recently so I wouldn't classify it as normal for my truck.

I've got some A-Rx left over from a engine and tranny flush I did last year so we'll see how she goes. I'll let ya know how it works.
