Auto parts stores branded full synthetic oil.

Here is a list of some of the big auto parts stores full synthetic oil. I am speaking of synthetic oil with the store name on it.

AutoZone - $5.49 a quart
Advance Auto - $5.49 a quart
O'Reilly Auto - $5.99 a quart
Napa - $3.49 a quart
Carquest - $5.49 a quart

Just for giggles.
Walmart Supertech - $4.99 a quart

All of the oils above meet most USA oil specs and are dexos1 licensed.

Napa seems to be by far and away the lest expensive.

Yes, you are right. Napa full synthetic oil is on sale this month for $3.49 a quart, normally $5.29.

It's interesting to see that the Carquest brand of synthetic is now blended by Amalie. If you see AOC printed on the bottom of the bottle, that's Amalie Oil Company, Tampa FL. Amalie also is producing oil for the Parts Plus store brand.

Napa Synthetic is Synpower

Most of the others are made by WPP

That is because NAPA is on sale this month. Some have even received coupons in the mail dropping the price to $2.99 a quart. And why is walmart's supertech just for giggles as it's very decent oil?

If the Carquest branded Amalie was the exact same formulation as their elixir brand then it would be very very strong. It has MB 229.5 and BMW LL-04 approvals. I don't think it is because its not listed on the Carquest bottle. That having been stated, the Carquest branded is good oil. Has are all the other ones too.

Another store-branded synthetic motor oil is Federated Auto Parts Full Synthetic ($4.99/quart, and when it goes on sale it is between $3 and $4) .... made by Warren/WNE. It is also a dexos1 oil.

Tony10s... If you happen to stop in a Sunoco gas station check out their oil. The Sunoco Ultra full synthetic oil is pretty doggone good. ACEA A1/A5, Dexos, Chrysler approval, Ford approval. I'm trying out now

O'Reilly is made by Omni Specialty Packaging. I've used it in the past when it was on sale for $17.99 for a 5qt jug and a quality filter.

Seemed to work well in my past vehicle, though the engine noise seemed a little more on it than some others.

All true except Napa doesn't = Synpower. According to Valvoline, Synpower uses a Higher quality basestock than the synthetics they blend to Napa specifications.

As far as house brands go Supertech is the real winner IMO. It is the cheapest on a daily basis and always available at walmart.

Also Meijer brand synthetic.

I believe its the same as ST. Their everyday price is average, but it is a screaming deal when they have a buy one get one 50% off deal.
