Authentic NGK Iridium IX plugs

Since the topic of counterfeit plugs often comes up, it's useful to have references.

These were recently on a monthly special at NAPA, and commensurate with the quality I've seen, and expect from authentic NGK plugs.

They were manufactured in NGK's U.S. plant, and show no discernible visual difference in quality compared to their Japanese plugs I've used in the past.

I was looking on Rockauto today for plugs. Did not see any good deals as I can get ngk or denso locally cheaper.

I'll be going with Ruthenium plugs in the future if they exist for the application, they are same price as Iridium (for cars I checked and at RA) it seems but offer benefits over Iridium plugs. Already bought Ru plugs for Forte due for replacement in May '21.

I don’t think you will have to worry about it too much if they come directly from the store. The ones I have seen the problems from have came from eBay or Rockauto or some other online source.

I'm not worried; I posted them as valid references.

Given the prevalence of fakes, it's a bit disappointing that greater steps aren't taken, like being part of the MAPP program, to help guide users beyond pictorial guides. I can verify the brake fluid and other parts I've installed, but not the spark plugs.
