This tested extreme pressure performance of a number of different oils. I realize there is more to motor oil performance than extreme pressure, but this did show how well the different oils are at metal to metal contact.
I believe it might be relavent to flat tappet or roller lifter engines using very much spring pressure. (especially racing)
What I was amazed with, was Royal Purple. A HUGE percentage of racers use this stuff, and it seems to work in the real world... but if you look at a standard oil analysis, it doesn't show much. What exactly is their "Synerlec" additive, anyway?
