ATF viscosity compared to PCMO

Most are what would be a lower 20 weight. They typically (or did) shear quickly into the 10 range. The newer formulations appear more stable ..not that it seemed to make much of a difference in acceptable performance.

A motor oil that fits this use is 10w. It's a 20 grade but is for transmissions. It's actually a 10w-20 ..but cannot make the 2.6 HTHS ..so it can't be called a 20 grade. Hence "10w".
