I am having the governor solenoid and sensor replaced (again) in my 2001 Jeep. I will give the guy at least a gallon of Amsoil ATF to fill the pan back up. But should I go the extra mile and give him enough Amsoil ATF to change out all the fluid?

I believe you have the 545RFE transmission - which may take a different amount - but most of my mopars take a litttle more than 4 qts on a pan drop. I think you will be fine with the partial change.

I'd have a bit of extra on hand. If it's a V8, it's a 545RFE transmission. If it's an I6, it's a 42RE. Last time I dropped the pan on my 46RE, it took 6 quarts to fill it back up. The manual says 4 quarts, but at 4, the dipstick was still dry.
