I have around a case of ATF Dexron III that is around a 1995 vintage. I got a bunch of stuff from a garage that closed, and this was some of the stuff that came along for the ride home. Its Napa brand, believe it might even say Ashland on the back label.

Would there be any issue using it since it has sat since sometime around 1995? I need to change the transmission fluid in my Subaru (calls for Dex III); and if this is OK to use, then I don't need to run after any...if its not safe to use, then I'll use this stuff for undercoating next fall.

Opinions?

You mean dropped out of suspension?

If I simply shook the bottles prior to using them would I be alright?

Yes, that's what I mean.

Generally it's not easy to get that back into the formulation. If it's just a bottle then you have a better chance than if it was for instance a drum.

Would you feel that it would be ok to use this batch, or should I just buy fresh and use this for undercoating??
