ASUS ZenWiFi AX Mini (XD5) Mesh?

I'm looking for a simple and relatively inexpensive basic mesh system for my parents' 3-floor home. I'm thinking one node per floor (they have concrete floors and brick walls everywhere). Backhaul would be wireless.

Any thoughts on this Asus Mesh system? Not sure what technology Asus is using to accomplish the mesh/wireless communication between the nodes.

is the main node on the second floor? or are you doing wireless to wireless to wireless backhaul?
either way if so I'd look for tri-band.

you could also look for VELOP, EERO, ORBI, or google wifi products.
nothing special about that asus product.

Wired backhaul is 100% out? even with a moca adapter etc?

Yes, main node would be on 2nd floor, hardwired to a DSL modem. Other floors would be wireless only.

They live in another country. Some of those other products aren't available there. Velop is 5x more expensive than Asus. Orbi is at least 3x more expensive. Are these systems really that much better?

I would just buy it and try it. if it doesn't meet expectations... get something else?
if they just need 20mbit for some smart phones is different from some Xboxes(latency), UHD streaming, Remote working etc.
Concrete floors how much signal gets through? might need to walk around with a smart phone w/app and do a site survey for signal to determine placement of the remote units.

We use an ASUS RX-58 and RX-56 mesh system at my in-laws. It’s all concrete with rebar.

It works fine, sometimes the mesh router (slave) gets a little unstable and loses connection.

Using POE to get a wired backhaul helped immensely.
