Arrest made in airman's Sig M18/P320 death from alleged spontaneous discharge.

Did anyone catch this? Seems the most famous (only?) Sig P320/M18 death might not be from a spontaneous discharge?

Just enough information to lead us to understand that there was no spontaneous discharge. But not enough information for us to understand what may have happened. About the only clue is that the airman has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

As far as the reputation of the P320, I would suspect that the damage has been done.

On this arrest that just broke the news or the P320 discharge problem? This is the event that blew it up, and caused the military to shelve the pistols. Thought it deserved it's own thread.

Are you saying the US military isn't using the P320-derived pistols anymore? Just the Air Force??
