I've been reading the UOA section and I noticed that the 40 weights do pretty good on average.
The 30 weights are all over the map; some are very good, but some show elevated wear metals.
If you're running an xxW-40, what kind of car do you have?

I'm running T6 5w-40 in my AMC 4.0 Cherokee. Seems to do well enough. Everyone shows great wear numbers for 7-9k. I'm planning on going until spring on this OCI (should be about 8000).

I started using it because I do some severe service usage (trail riding, mud runs on hot days, towing and hauling). I decided on a 1 year OCI because it does get out on the highway for some long runs (heats up the oil and gets all of the [censored] boiled out so-to-speak).

I'm at 3500 miles on this OCI , haven't leaked or burnt a drop.

I typically run an xxW-40 as the manufacturer recommends a synthetic 0w or 5w-40 for all conditions. In winter months I try to find a thick 30 weight like GC, as I believe any 40 weight is pretty thick in below freezing temps.

Current fill is Motorcraft CJ-4 rated (diesel spec) 10w-30, trying to use up the oil I have in my stash.

I am running 0w40 Mobil 1 in my Volkswagen.

Great oil.

However great it is though, I would not run it in a car that is not spec'ed for it (if your concerned about warranty).

There are a lot of great offerings in the w20 and w30 weights as well. . .

Rotella T6 5w-40 in my '67 Beetle. It's only been in about a week.

At 3000 miles, I intend to sample it and send off for my first ever UOA to see how it's doing.

engine is 86 Chevy 2.8L V6 (L44).
It has a mix of oil right now that works out to a 40. This was in the car when I checked oil pressure with a mechanical gauge. Hot pressure looked either just right for specs, or it's a bit low. The uncertainty is because I haven't found specs for my specific engine code, only a couple of close relatives.

I'll probably use 5w30 this winter due to short trips being more frequent than long ones.
In warm weather I expect to use QS Defy 10w40. I wasn't aware of it last spring.

Co-Op DMO Gold SL, a diesel HDEO we get up here in Canada, is what I'm currently running in a Jeep Cherokee 4.0 (0W-40 oil).

Much as I can figure so far runs great. Weather has been cold so I can't answer for sure if its been dinging the fuel economy any...which the cold does fantastically aswell.

Pennzoil YB 10w-40. In our Suburban for the first time. It usually burns about a quart ever 1000 miles, but with the 10w-40, it can usually go about a quart ever 1400 miles.

Wife's Clio Dci is currently running Mobil 1 New Life been run on Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel for previous 4 OCI, I run my Taxi on 10w40, going over to Maxlife 10w40 sun blend in next week or so, Pathfinder is currently being run on 5w40 Edge FST full synth C3, previously ran on 5w30 C3 and will have results soon that may be helpful as previous 5w30 and current 5w40 will have UOA at same 7k mile interval.

Running xw-40 in almost everything in sig. the bike is a bit heavier but pretty sure it shears quick. the RL 0w-30 is almost a 40. I'll change the 2.0T to a 30 for winter though. I mighta seen a 1 mpg or so drop from syn 5w-30 in the sonata...
