are trailer rims/tires worth anything?

I have standard landscape utility trailer tires attached to those grey plain steel rims. You can buy the tire/rim for $70 a piece off amazon. I have 5 of them and wondering if I could sell them or what should I do with them?

You can always sell them on craigslist for $10 each or something.

Yup put them on CL. Something like $10 EA or the entire set for $40. People love to think they're getting a bargain!

Keep your wheels and find some decent tires.

You could keep the rims and buy tires when on sale. And swap 'em on as needed. Or just keep the old tires and swap on as needed. It's nice to be able to drop rims off at a shop and have them put on tires, without taking the trailer too. Drop the wheels off one night, pick up the next (I've done that a couple of times with a local garage, very convenient for the both of us).

I had some horribly cracked utility trailer tires (on rims) that I wanted to get rid of. Put them on the curb with "free" on them as it would have cost to take to the transfer station. Gone in a day.

JC Whitney use to (maybe still does) sell a "tire re-grover" and you could make those bald tires like new again!!

I've done that on Jeep tires. Can't say I'd recommend it, but it is possible.

At 75 ypur ging to hold on to them for a while until you find the perfect buyer. If you want them gone, put a low price swallow your pride and be rid of them.

If these are 12-13" rims you can often buy tires premounted on rims. So you'll find lots of old rims with bald tires out there.

Buyers of used trailers may not care about the tread depth on the tires. They care about if they hold air or not.
