Ummm...I'm going with no on that one. (I just can't see it)

I'm guessing Monroe maybe.....

I'd still go with the KYB though.

I wish I had a Carquest close to me, or I could tell you. (Nearest one is 50 miles away).

Now if that was true, I would hop on that....

Go to the Carquest website.......under "Products" then "steering and suspension" click on one of the links for more information.
They list KYB as their supplier.
They have a "Shocks eCatalog" link.....you can look up the shocks/struts for your particular vehicle.
I looked up the ones for my windstar, and the pictures match the corresponding pictures that I get on the KYB website for the matching products.
You might want to verify for your own particular vehicle.

My gut feel is that they will be the same as the regular KYB, Carquest is just a marketing outlet for them.
However, that is just my guess....as I don't work for or have any "inside" information.

You're got to be kidding me....I've wanted to put KYBs on a few of mine.

If they are cheaper, this could be interesting..

I got KYBs off ebay for way less than any parts store or rockauto. There's some margin factored in, I'm sure.

Monroe doesn't make 'em for carquest I'm sure.

Just got the "word".

KYB makes most of them, and Gabriel makes a few also.

Looks like CQ struts and shocks for the Cav......

Good work Critic. The nice thing about buying the KYB shocks from a local Car Quest is that if you have warranty problems, you can handle it locally and get your ride back on the road with less hassles.

Critic, some time back, you mentioned some flaws about KYB's "lifetime" warranty that implied that "wear" might not be covered, i.e. - a leaking strut at 40k miles.

I asked the Carquest guys and they considered a "leak" as a defect and implied a "satisfaction" type of warranty replacement. I haven't had to try it out yet to see if they are lying scumbags.

CQ and NAPA will often give a 10% discount by just asking. Sometimes, it's worth it to pay a bit more such as in this case of warranty returns (return postage could eat up any savings).

Take care.

Ah, not bad.

CQ's struts and shocks are 10/8 bucks cheaper at Carquest...
