Aprilaire humidifier, deciding not to work

It worked a couple times randomly and now it won’t. It’s getting water. I put a new solenoid in it and just seems like the solenoid isn’t kicking on at all like it’s not getting the signal. I just bought a new humidstat to see if maybe that’s it.

I had something similar happen and had to replace. That said, the original unit was 30+ years old at the time so I wasn't too upset about it. Do you have a local HVAC resource that can take a look?

could you jump out/bypass the humidistat to see if the solenoid comes on? is there an electrical drawing available?

I come home from work and now it’s working. Haha
A mean it’s only four years old this whole unit

if there's a transformer... check voltage now that it's working and when it decides to not work check voltage again.

My AprilAire has never worked properly since installed in 2011. Had to replace a controller soon after install.
Now it's not calling for water. AprilAire is supposed to be the best!

Have a Carrier which is just a rebadged Aprilaire. I don't trust saddle valves so I replaced the water connection with a Sharkbite. I only open it about a 1/4 of the way otherwise the solenoid flows way too much water into the humidifier and grid and the condensate pump works overtime. Once adjusted properly, it works great. Average about 45-50% in winter.
