Anyone Using SuperTech "Pre-Mix" Antifreeze?

I'm a big fan of pre-mixed 50/50 antifreeze (obviously, it's very easy to keep at the "proper" ratio and I no longer have to buy gallons of distilled water or worry about getting the ratio off when doing a system refill or topping-off...), and when doing a complete system clean and refill awhile back in my truck, went over to Wal-Mart to pick up some Prestone 50/50.

Well, they didn't have any, but did have some SuperTech 50/50. If I remember right, price was around $3.75-$4.00 per gallon.

Anyways, stuff is working great and have noticed no problems.

Anyone else using it??

My only ojection to commercial premix is that it's the most expensive distilled or de-ionized water you can buy. (or tap water -- we don't really know, do we?) I'm all for convenience. But for my money, I keep an empty antifreeze jug and buy a gallon of concentrate and a gallon of distilled water (Walmart's "best"

) for 58 cents. In less than five minutes, I have two gallons of home-brew premix for 58 cents more than the price of one gallon of concentrate. One goes in each car's trunk.

I use SuperTech 50/50 with no problems at all. When I flushed out my Kia I used a little more than 1/4 of a gallon of staight antifreeze then the rest SuperTech 50/50. I like 60/40 better in MN with -20F weather.

Your right Ray, it's not cheaper, but the price difference isn't alot and it adds convenience. Heck it comes even closer to the price of Prestone and Distilled water. For toping cars off it's easier to just poor out of the jug without mixing and getting extra containers.
