Anyone used these ramps?

Hope that works. If not it is the 12,000lb Blitz Rhino Ramp set.

My floor jack is giving out and can't lift my OB high enough for my jack stands to be of much use. And I feel safer with ramps than stands.

I can change the oil and (eventually) ATF and rear diff fluid without them. They are mostly needed for the front diff as well as enough leverage to break free rusted drain bolts (feel like I've used a quarter can of PB Blaster on my AT drain plug trying to get it loose...) right now.

I had a pair of the 8,000 ramps for years, but they recently cracked so I replaced them with these 12,000 ramps you're talking about. They seem much sturdier, I'm glad I upgraded. O'reilleys was having a sale on the 8k version for $29, and they let me pay just $5 more these 12k ramps.

I use the 12K ramps all the time. Used them today to put a trailer hitch on my vehicle. Love them and would highly recomend them to anyone. A billion times better than my old metal ramps.

I have a set of the 8,000 lb ramps and they hold up well as long as you store them in the dark. Sunlight degrades them.

How can you feel safer with ramps? I use ramps for convenience, not safety. If safety were paramount I'd definitely be using stands.

I use the 8,000 lb ramps by Blitz. They work fantastic for all my vehicles that I have used with them and I was able to get a deal in the store when I got them, for $30.

I keep mine stored in the garage and they have never seen sunlight except carrying them from the store to my car and then from the car to the garage. Had them for over 2 years now and are still working great.

Odd thing to say--depending on the job, I feel much safer with ramps. It would be much easier to tip stands if, say, another car bumped into the one on stands. Also, the stress inside the lever tooth is much higher than are present in well-designed ramps. That said, I should mention that my ramps are heavy steel gazillion-pound rated units.

I've used the 12,000 ones you linked. They are much sturdier built than the 8,000 pound ones and are wider. AAP has them on sale from time to time though if you are willing to wait. It wasn't a huge sale though, I'm not sure but I think it was around $7 off.

I haven't bought them for two reasons that probably aren't applicable to you but might be to other people. Like you, I can also change my car's oil without jacking it up (definitely love that). I also rotate the tires when I change the oil so I am going to end up putting the car on stands either way.

On a side note to being worried about stand safety. I would suggest the "locking" stands, much better design compared to regular stands IMO. Amazon has 3 ton locking stands for $24.99 with free shipping if you add some $0.01 filler.

As a follow up, would buying a set used be worth it? Set on Craigslist of the older gray 12,000 model for $25. Or I can get the new black ones at AAP for about $40.

Worth the $15 for new, or fine if there are no stress marks?

Buy new. You have no idea how the used ones where used and stored. They mave had too much weight on them, the user may have spilled some sort of chemicals on them that could degrade to plastic. Ect. . . . . .

Get new!

I have a set of the 8000 lbs ones that I use to change the oil on my VW. I have used them twice so far and they work GREAT!

A little scary driving a stick shift up them at first, but it was easy.

I have those ramps, they're very nice to use. Not as much clearance as old-school ramps. They do fit under our ridiculously low Fit, so they get kudos for that ability. The cars drive up them with very little issue thanks to the gradual slope and grippiness of the plastic. They make changing oil and ATF a zillion times easier than jacks/jackstands.

I've got the 12K set and they're the only ramps I can use for my wife's BMW with sport package. You're right, there's not as much room as traditional ramps, but I don't have to worry about clearance getting on and off the ramps. Highly recommended for low profile vehicles.

I had the 8k set for years. I upgraded to the 12k set this winter. I purchased at AAP online with 40% off (coupon posted on here!).
