Anyone use/try TV on your PC

Has anyone here used or tried the TV on PC deal??? The net is full of web sites talking about this. Supposedly thousands and thousands of channels for basically a one time fee for the software ranging from around $40.00-$75.00. Pay per view, foreign channels, ESPN, Etc. Seems like a great idea...but the web sites seem like a scam...sort of if it seems too good to be true...it probably is. If it is legit I would love to get it, as I only have satellite now and no cable available. Thanks for any and all comments

I'm guessing this isn't a hardware TV-tuner deal. You won't get TV-quality with normal streaming over the internet, unless you have a 10+ Mbps connection (I'm basing this on the highest quality video I've managed to stream over an 11 Mbps wireless connection). There's also an issue of whether your ISP caps your downloads - you might exceed the limit if you watch a lot of TV.

I don't know about that, I but I do like watching some TV shows (Lost) for free online. There are less and shorter commercial interruptions.

http://att.mobitv.com offers a free 14-day trial. 1 PC at a time...has to be Windows computers though.
