I was browsing google for QS pics and I came across a pic of the oil I used in my 94 Z28 for years until I couldn't find it anymore.
Anyone remember their first oil they used?

My first oil--Castrol GTX 5w-30--have graduated to Pennzoil Ultra now
The first oil that I ever purchased was for my 73' Ford F250. It was Valvoline White Bottle.
DA Speed Sport SAE30 motor oil was used in my new 1961 Ford Fairlane, 390 ci, 300 hp, 3-speed on the column with OD, 4:11 crown and pinion.

Whatever the higher grade Seara straight 30 weight was in the early 1960s. IIRC, it came in one gallon tin cans.
My older brother had close to full race Ford Flathead V8 and Chevron DELO was the only oil that would hold up in it. That was where I started learning about HDEO for gas engines.

I used Castrol GTX 10w-40 in my '85 Escort Pony back in 1993. Back then, I thought 10w-40 was better than 5w-30 for some reason, even though the car called for 5w-30 if I'm not mistaken.

Very first oil change in my car was Woolworths 20W-40, followed a couple days later by another (my $200 car was very heavily sludged, and I'd just given it a scrape out and run it on diesel in the sump at idle for a while.

Mine was Yamalube 10w-40 for my bike. I had plenty of QS 10w-30 available from my dad for my car. The first I bought myself for a car would have been Castrol GTX 10w-30.
Mobil 1 5w30 and a purolator filter for moms honda...that was a good 7 years ago now

Remember it well. When I first got my Tercel(family hand me down, Mom's old car, I was 19 years old) Mom got me a 5 prepaid oil change deal. Shop put Pennzoil 10w30 in it. First change went great. The second oil change, they put 5 qts into the 3qt sump. Been changing my own oil ever since.

Cenpeco 15w40 for my '88 Ford Bronco, I got it out of a drum in dad's shop.
Valvoline 10w-40 Dino and a Lee Oil Filter back in 1971 on my 1955 Chevy, 6 cylinder 4 Door station wagon, three speed on the column. Seems like only yesterday....how time fly's.

1965 Mustang with Pennzoil 10W-30. This was my first car. My Dad used Pennzoil 30HD in his 37 Chevrolet and 50 Ford, then started using Pennzoil 10W-30 in his 56 Ford Crown Vic. I've used some form of Pennzoil in every car I've owned since 1965.
