Are they any good? Or would it be better to pay 9 bucks more for a wix?

But that is not for Trans filters. Just Air, bypass, and oil.

The one NAPA sold me for my Mustang is marked "Made in Korea." Don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing, but it isn't what I was expecting.
I took mine out. It was sealed in a plastic bag that says "Made in Taiwan". Well that is better than China.

That's odd. The air filter for my Acura was made in S. Korea as well and it worked perfect. Low silicon in my UOAs and it still looked very good even at 30k. The Purolator I replaced it with was also made in S. Korea and it looks almost identical to the Napa Gold I replaced. The Napa Gold I bought to replace this one when it's due is also made in S. Korea and looks fine. The air filter I have in my car right now is from 1998 and looks good as new!

I think it is because my car sucks!
When I purchased it Saturn Techs warned me they were seeing aftermarket air filters coming in with a hole in them. The media of the Napa Gold was not as thick as the OEM filter. That seemed to be the problem. A service advisor said Fram was OK. So I have used Fram and OEM without problems ever since. Guess the engineers at Wix do not anticipate the sucking force of a Saturn intake.
