Anyone know for sure what they are specing for the new Pentastar V6 engines in the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee? I saw 5W20 only, then somewhere else 5W30 only. Just wondering.

The user manual for a 2011 Durango shows 5w30 in the 3.6 and then 5w20 in the 5.7.
You can download your specific user manual from Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep website to check for sure on your application.

Its 5w20, as have a ton of the new jeeps in our fleet.
Just checked the 2011 GC user manual and it states 5w30 in the v6 penstar and 5w20 in the v8 hemi.
Thanks. The Mobil 1 website showed 5W30, and Pentastar.com shows 6 qts of 5W20, which caused me the confusion. The move to 5W30 is interesting if it is in fact correct, which I now think it is. I like the engine, and hope they don't screw it up by going DI with it.
