Anyone ever hung cans for the "just married" thing

Later next month one of my good friends is getting married. I rented them a BMW 750iL and will chauffeur them to/from the ceremony and reception.

I'd like to do the "Just Married" thing with the cans dangling off the back. Has anyone ever done this? Any suggestions or tips?

I drove my friends in my 240D. Classic. We put cans behind. Most fell off, using regular white twine and cans.

It would destroy my car because my friends would just line them up on the bumper and shoot them off.
