Probably a long shot on this but never know without trying!
Situation:
My car has a few rust spots. I "fixed" two so far. There are bubbles around the antenna on the roof which still needs to be treated. I do not want this to go forever for obvious reasons. What I did with the other areas is remove paint and looose rust, apply rust neutralizer, repaint. Should slow down the rust at least. One spot needed filler and looks bad.
I will get a bodyshop quote at some point (soon I hope) but since I am on a budget will probably not go that route.
I can try to fix this myself. This is most likely but I am inexperienced and the quality may not be good.
I'm wondering if someone in the Columbus Ohio area would be interested in fixing this last spot at least? I would pay less than the bodyshop asks for but will accept a less thorough repair.
We can discuss details if someone is interested.

Ask at some indy repair shops. They may know someone who does it on the side? Technical school as a teaching lesson? Mention $$CASH$$ to whomever you talk to. No check and no insurance.

Try Tolles Tech outside Plain City, the Columbus Public Schools Vocational HS, or Southwestern City Schools vocational HS. Delaware Career Center may also be an option. Many vocational HS used to take outside work for students to work on to learn the trade. Not sure if there are any trade colleges in the area. Not sure if Columbus State has a program or not. Good luck.

+1 to the vocational schools.
not sure if it still works this way or not, but the voc. school up here in Lima used to just charge for the parts/materials, no labor, as they needed cars for the kids to work on. the main caveat being, it will take longer than a traditional shop as well.
Just make sure you ask the time question if this is your only car.

Body shop paint and labor charges are high just like everything else these days.

For instance, I need a new front left fender for our 2008 Honda Odyssey (friend of the family backed into it).

Anyway.. A new fender is just under $200. Total bill to tear-down, paint and install is just shy off $700.
