The C3 claims to do over 200 ft-lb. It has successfully taken off the front axle bolt(s) (32mm) of a 10 year old Maxima. The factory spec on that bolt is around 175 ft-lb and since it was there for decade under New England weather/salt condition, it definitely needed some serious muscle to come out. Frankly, neither myself nor my mechanic had any hopes that it would come off with my C3 wrench but it did in few seconds of banging. The other side was done in few months and it too came off with this wrench. I had carried it with me to the shop so that I could test it.
The NiCd do not hold charge over time but Lithium are good and charge lasts for months. I do NOT keep the wrench in the car but in my basement.
It gets uniformly good reviews and can be had for competitive prices if you look for sale.
I mark my socket with silver magic marker so that I can immediately see if it is budging even just a little or not in few seconds of banging. Don't expect it to work like an air wrench!
The HF electric has one advantage which is it never runs out of power, so if you feel like, you could keep it banging for minutes or more!
