I Purchased one of the magnefine filters, and will install it on my camry's tranny very soon.

Anything else on the Magnom? I've been looking around to try to price one. The only place I can get a price is in the UK. I don't know if using one would make a lot of sense if a good bypass filter is employed. I did find the Magnefine for use as a prefilter which appears to be similar and similar in function as the Magnom. If I read it correctly the Magnefine is a throw away unit while the Magnom can be cleaned. If I got one of these things I would like to be able to see what and how much is being magnetically filtered out. I don't know if you would be able observe the filtered particles using the Magnefine. I have a couple of inquires pending for more information on the Magnom. Maybe I'll hear something next week. Do one of these units work off of patents of the other?

I'm thinking of fitting one on the bearing jacking oil system at work (suction side of a hydraulic pump.

I just installed a Magnefine on my transmission return line. I installed a 40K CGVW cooler. The Magnefine has the magnet for the ferrous metals and also a regular filter for the non-ferrous. Also it has a bypass in case of any problems. I feel this is the best all around in line. Ford uses them on their tranny rebuilt installations. Look at the picture, it explains it better than I can:
