Then don't pick SmartPost or SurePost, nor those vendors or sellers who do. Go somewhere else that will ship by straight Fedex or UPS and states that they do so.

What an amazing mental contortion trying and make what is your choice in shipping as "fraud". Wow wee.

I don't even know what you're talking about. I've never seen those shipping options. The only options I've ever seen when choosing a shipment method is USPS, UPS, or Fedex. I always choose either UPS or Fedex, and my shipments still end up being delivered by USPS. I'm paying for UPS or Fedex, but they are only doing part of the shipment. In my book that's fraud...

I sell on Ebay occasionally and often with free shipping. Buyers don't always have a choice on which shipper the seller uses. After a sale I check UPS, Fedex, USPS, and Smartpost. Sometimes Smartpost is cheapest, sometimes Fedex or USPS flat rate. Rarely UPS. I'll choose the cheapest unless the difference is less than a buck for Priority.

Almost all by return parts go back to the depot via FedEx Ground. They seem to get there as they come off my aging report.

Seems to work for me.

I get the parts by Express, but return used/bad parts via ground...

Works really well for me.

No they don't, you really don't know what you're talking about. Only if they are being sent by SmartPost or SurePost. If I buy a part on Rock Auto and select Fedex it is not delivered by USPS.

Correct.

If these packages are being shipped Smartpost or Surepost, then they are doing so without my knowledge. I have NEVER seen these two options listed as shipping methods.

Here is an example on Rock Auto:

In this example I would choose the $7.99 option, and my package would arrive via USPS...fraud!

Thank goodness. I think it is clear to everyone else in this thread who likes to argue.

Perhaps you should stick to posts about your romantic adventures since I am not tempted to participate in those.

I think I see what the problem is.

I never have issues from any carrier where I am… Amazon, Fedex, UPS, USPS, etc… Packages are never damaged, no issues what-so-ever. This includes few thousand dollar camera lenses and other sensitive objects that don't do well with bumps/abuse.

Care to elaborate?

The $7.99 option in that picture is not USPS, it's Fedex. The USPS option is $5.99. Are you viewing this forum on a phone? If not, maybe get your eyes checked.

I'm saying when I choose a shipping method, I either choose Fedex or UPS (not Smartpost, Surepost, or USPS), but the package would still be final delivered by USPS. Kschachn was trying to tell me this isn't possible, so I guess he knows better which shipping method I'm selecting and how it's being delivered...

DHL, and the UPS and FedEx shipping that hand off to the post office for final delivery

Back when I was doing more online shopping I subscribed to amazon prime just to get away from them.

.

If it is SmartPost/SurePost then yes.

If not, then no.

You're wrong. If you choose the $7.99 option, it will come by Fedex Ground. How do you get that it will come by USPS when it says Fedex Ground ?

That wasn't clear, but if so, the complaint is with the company that you bought from if they change the shipping method you paid for. Do you have a P.O. Box address? That would be the only legit reason since Fedex and UPS can't normal deliver to a P.O. Box.

I am presently having a FedEx SmartPost nightmare at this time. The expected delivery date has came and went - as you say, handed off to post office for final delivery, they say - and it never came. It is gumming up some plans.
