This year I got a new Ferris with a 25hp Briggs and HydroGear ZT2800 wheel units.
After mowing for an hour on a 90F day, both the engine and hydros looked to be (using a heat gun) in the 170F range on the oil.
Certainly nothing to stress the systems.

I have a 25hp Commercial Turf Briggs and run about 200 on a 70 degree day and 220-225 on a 90 degree day - this is measured with a thermometer in the oil after about an hour of run time. My ZT2800 hydros run somewhere around 180 after the same hour or so, but it's hard to get a good reading off the housing with my temp gun.

Edit: these temps are after a couple of minutes of transit and brief cool down time
