any tips to remove windshield protection film/remaining adhesive residue?

hey all gonna help a friend remove a windshield protection film he got a few years ago, wonder if any tips to remove it and also what to spray on to easily remove the residue after/ i assume goo gone or goo off?

You can try brake-clean, acetone, wd40, isopropyl.

I don't know but I'd start with a touch of Dawn in water and EZ going with a straight edged razor blade.
Then try ammonia.
It's an acrylic glue, no?

Most likely it is most similar to window tint.

You can try to steam it off, that is the absolute best way to get it off residue free.

Although it might just be faster to use a straight razorblade and windex and scrape off the glue once the film is off.
