No part off this car goes to the trash. Still have the old calipers somewhere waiting for rebuild, and spent last Saturday evening replacing alternator brushes by 15f weather.
Worked like a charm till the following evening. Then charging light came on again, and I drove to my local autozone to get back the Duralast that I had previously bought then returned when my brushes arrived.
Yes, I'm a muggle and I cleaned the shaft with spray cleaner only, not with sandpaper. T'was dark and cold. So now I have the original alternator to play with.
So whatever I replace the current rack with-it's not going anywhere
