Received orders to return to Alaska, Fairbanks, this summer. I preparation for such move I dumped the 50/50 Blue Nissan factory fill for a 67/33 mix of Peak all makes and models. I also added a lower radiator hose heater.

Of course I drained and filled with distilled water until it came out clear back to back. Then used my leaf blower to push the water out of the engine block and heater core.

I guess I should have asked if the chemistry is compatible with this vehicle before do the swap?

Never heard of anyone doing that....where did you hook up the leaf blower? And how did you arrive at a 67/33 mix?

Can you not have just added non diluted nissan blue to the factory 50/50 mix to strengthen it ?

I hooked up to the heater hose I disconnected at the thermostat housing.

I estimated 67/33 by adding 4 quarts and 28 ounces of full strength coolant to a 7.2 quart capacity system that was flushed with distilled water until it was clear. I will be borrowing my buddy's coolant refractometer to confirm or adjust the ratio.

As for the Nissan Blue, my local steal want $21.79 per quart or $33.79 for full strength compatible Nissan Green. But the later would reduce the service interval to the Green's 5 year rating instead of the original Blue's 7 years.

I figured two gallons of FS Peak at AAP for $20 with discount code was cheaper than draining and adding two quarts of FS Blue.

Well, although the PEAK AM/AM may not be optimal for your Versa, I have been using it in my '04 Altima since it's first D&F in '08 and again in '12.

PLUS...I have been using PEAK(and many other coolants) in just about any engine that I have had over the last 40 years including Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Pontiac, Chrysler, Buick, Chevy, FORD etc.

The only issues I have ever had were with vehicles that were know for issues anyway(head gasket, intake manifold gasket)... They know who they are!

Otherwise, no coolant issues in over 200K-300K miles in any of the vehicles mentioned, with those exceptions.
