Another use for Chevron Supreme

I have been using Chevron Supreme to clean my bait cast reel after fishing. It cleans the level wind and I use it to lubricate the handles on the reel. It is noticeable that after I do this it casts smoother and a bit farther. And when having it in there it keeps the reel noticeably cleaner while using it too.

The bait cast reel is a Shimano Chronarch 100mg that I think it a bit over 20 years old. The pole is a Quantum IM 8 that I got 27 years ago. That pole has great feel / sensitivity still to this day. I am using Sunline Natural monofilament 12 pound test line. Great casting with it and has great feel and sensitivity. I got the lady a brand new Shimano Intenza for $150 that is a bit more sensitive than my pole. But not way more sensitive. It is a great pole too. I can still use my pole and I like it a whole lot. It has some sentimental value as that pole was the one I caught my citation large bass on my birthday in 9/11/2001 with my dad there…

Been having some good luck using a few artificial lures at the local creek. The Rapala DT 6 and another one called ICON lures have had strong success.. Today I caught the biggest largemouth bass to date… Nearly 3 pounds. … that fish hit hard when I let the Rapala DT-6 float backwards for nearly 3 seconds. Thank goodness I had a strong grip on the pole when that fish hit. It hit really strong.

Is that the Chevron Supreme we were all buying in 2013? O’Reilly’s coupons and it ended up being like $0.50 a quart?

B&B charcoal?

Very familiar - some in my can now … they started not far from here

I noticed it proudly has Texas notes on the bags…

Yeah I found it at Ace Hardware near me. It was the oak version and it was pretty good…

Then I saw the Oak and Hickory B&B at Harris Teeter and got that… And that was extremely good in my opinion.

It last a long time too. Which I like a lot has well. Worth the extra money it cost above other brands.

Yes, I tend to start the coals with one tumbleweed and lesser coals - once spread - add B&B per mission - as you know - it can burn pretty hot - so I use less that way …

Nah man.. I paid like $5.19 for that quart of Chevron Supreme at a small Roses store near me. I was like what heck… I got 3 qts of Havoline High Mileage 5w30 to put in my Honda at some point soon. So I’m going to put the Supreme in the Honda for the 3.7 qts it needs when I change it.?

I used that B&B for these recent meals…

The other evening I used like 40 pieces of B&B to get the grill stupid hot to sear that steak via indirect very high heat… Worked great for that.

This is the color scheme that the bass are hitting on at that creek near me. This one is the bigger DT-10 which I caught a nice 2 and a half pound bass on and another 1 pound bass on the same afternoon about 2 months ago. And those largemouth bass are still liking this same color scheme now.

Something about that dark green on top and that red underneath that they are keying in on.

They have also hit on a green on top and orange on the bottom color. The Icon lure has that color scheme and the STW lure has it has well.
