I pick up nails and screws on the rare occasion. Not with alarming frequency.

I did run over the saddle (not the bolt loop) of a muffler clamp once. It went half way thru the tire tread.

I did run over the saddle (not the bolt loop) of a muffler clamp once. It went half way thru the tire tread.

The last new tire I just put on I picked up a brass tube. Or copper tube that was like 1/4" diameter and about 4" long. Luckily my buddy showed up at the gas station at the same time and it actually held a tire plug. It took two plugs, but it held and I ran that tire until it was bald. Had to add air every few days the last month or so though until I finally replaced it.
